Professional Fees
Frederic James provides independent representation and transaction management for collectors, enthusiasts and investors seeking exceptional vehicles.
Every client transaction is managed discreetly through the Frederic James Deal Room, supporting every stage of the transaction with clarity, accountability and professional oversight.
Our Professional Fees are calculated progressively, ensuring a fair and transparent structure across all transaction values.
Professional Fees are calculated progressively. Crossing a pricing threshold does not change the fee applied to the earlier portion of the transaction.

Auctions
Frederic James auctions connect approved buyers and sellers through a transparent invitation-led marketplace for exceptional vehicles.
The Buyer Premium tier is determined in the auction's listed currency using the published threshold table below. Frederic James does not apply live foreign-exchange conversion to fee calculations; the rate displayed on the auction page before bidding is the rate that will be charged.
Auctions listed in any currency not shown above default to the EUR threshold equivalent until that currency is formally added to the table.

Before any bid is submitted, the Deal Room displays the current bid, the applicable Buyer Premium rate, the Buyer Premium amount and the total payable in the auction's listed currency, so bidders confirm a complete figure rather than a hammer price alone.
Bidder Acknowledgements
Before a bid is submitted, every bidder confirms the following acknowledgements. These are recorded against each bid alongside timestamp and IP address as a permanent record.
I understand that my bid is a genuine offer to purchase the vehicle and that I intend to proceed if successful.
I understand that the Frederic James Buyer Premium is payable in addition to the final hammer price.
I understand that I am responsible for reviewing the vehicle information and carrying out my own due diligence before bidding.
I understand that transport, registration, taxes, import duties and other third-party costs may apply.
I understand that, if my bid is successful, a deposit and the balance of the purchase price (including the Buyer Premium) must be settled within the timeframe set out in the auction terms.
Deal Room
The Deal Room is Frederic James' private transaction environment.
Following a successful auction, accepted offer or brokerage transaction, approved participants may be invited into a private Deal Room.

Our Role
Frederic James operates as a specialist vehicle brokerage and auction service, and transaction facilitator.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Frederic James is not the seller of record and does not take ownership of vehicles listed with Frederic James.
Our role is to facilitate introductions, manage transactions, coordinate documentation and assist buyers and sellers throughout the process.
